I view graphic design as a form of collage: constructing layouts made of carefully chosen images; juxtaposing scenes with dynamic shapes and typography; creating a cohesive color palette. I think about these things in my creative practice and apply them to my client work.
This act of organization follows me into my hobbies. I find excitement in decorating my room in functional and aesthetic ways with different layouts. I enjoy curating charcuterie boards, ordering each snack into something beautiful. To relax, I find myself on the beach searching for interesting rocks that I later sort by shape and color.
I feel energized by a pitch that causes me to think outside the box. Order and balance allow me to tackle these challenges and rearrange them into new ideas, just like a collage!
